  1. Hi there, do you have any idea if this app would work with this one : I don't see why not but you never know 🙂
  2. It seems to be a limitation from zapier so I don't see what IPS can do about it... But if I understand it right it means php-fpm is also not suitable for zapier since it is fastCGI. If this is the case most people won't be able to use it...
  3. Received-Spf: SoftFail (protection.outlook.com: domain of transitioning example.com discourages use of 209.85.216.68 as permitted sender) Setting a correct spf entry on your dns should definitely improve email deliverability.
  4. Do you manage the dns zone for "mysite.com" ? You may want to add google servers to the spf entry : https://support.google.com/a/answer/10684623?hl=fr Did you try to diagnostic with mailtester ? did it tell you where you have issue ?
  5. email delivery is always complicated. What i do is use https://www.mail-tester.com/ to check my dkim and spf records are OK. you should give a try. it will give you an idea of what is going wrong.
  6. I do and i will 🙂 Great app, very easy to set up with the instructions. Hardest part was to get amazon to move the account out of sandbox but in the end it only took less than 24hours.
  7. Well Sendinblue support is trying to make me believe the problem comes from my site. I suspended my subscription and will move to SES using this : In the end i will even gain money 🙂
  8. OK never mind, my smtp relay is actually screwing up my emails... I disable it for the moment and will open a ticket with them. Sorry for the false issue...
  9. Well i just received an email in english and the &amp is still there... https://www.plongeur.com/forums/topic/66857-coronavirus-covid-19/?_se=amVzdXJhbGVtQGhvdG1haWwuY29t&do=findComment&amp%3Bcomment=1378149 Now that i think about it i had a user complainig about email validation link broken too : https://www.plongeur.com/forums/index.php?_se=ZmxpcG1hbW91aWxsZUBnbWFpbC5jb20%3D&app=core&amp%3Bmodule=system&amp%3Bcontroller=register&amp%3Bdo=validate&amp%3Bvid=b3671398f7d83ec3054dcee777695a07&amp%3Bmid=94536 Is there any way to check what goes out from the system ? I just want to chack my smtp provider isn't the source. <= don't mind this, i switch to php for a moment and will check next notification.
  10. i had a feeling that &amp was a bad guy ! I changed my language and will be back as soon as i have a notification 🙂
  11. Hi, It seems that the links in thenotification e-mails my forum sends are broken. For instance : https://www.plongeur.com/forums/topic/66857-coronavirus-covid-19/?_se=amVzdXJhbGVtQGhvdG1haWwuY29t&do=findComment&amp%3Bcomment=1378140 ends up in a "we couldn't find that topic" page with error code "2S136/C". I believe this is since 4.6.6 update but can't be sur eas i dont personnaly use e-mail notifications.
  12. You are gonna kill me but it was actually a good change for those of us who have to account invoices etc... Is there any way we could choose between 6 months and 1 year ? BTW, i have to say i have the most respect for what you have been doing for 2 days answering to everybody here.
  13. I think this distinction is very hard to make. My site is a hobby in the sense that i don't exepct to live or even earn money from it. Yet it has advertsiement revenue that i use to pay for hosting, licenses and web developpement (and accounting...). Where would you put it ? my accountant costs 10 times what IPS is costing, the price increase is around what a corporate credit card costs, it is definitely not a problem per se.
  14. Given the fact that you provide no valuable info on how to configure the server, you should expect that. Maybe i missed it but i never saw a list of basic Mysql/apache/php key config items for IPS. Providing basic key settings value for typical community sizes would help a lot. Theses settings depend on the code so nobody can guess the best settings for IPS. By the way, most of the time the hoster says it is a code issue and you say it is a server issue. And this is often right for both as optimization on both sides would probably solve the problem.
  15. As I said, the price rise is not really the problem here for me. they had been the same for more than 15 years and everybody can understand it. Now you are making a lot of changes suddenly after 15 years with barely any, you can only expect people to react strongly. this is all change management and communication, as i said you chose the "rip the band aid" approach, and you may be right a everybody will complain for a few days and i will probably be business as usual in a week. But a more progressive approach would probably have created less tension.
  16. @Matt what would be the harm of letting people choose the renewal period ? I know i would definitely choose 1 year personnaly but at least you would make a move to help some of us.
  17. Three of the most active third party devs have been active on this very discussion. At least two of them clearly stating this would impact their future projects. Honestly, how many active devs is there ? what would-it cost to give free licenses to developper having more than xx downloads/intalls of their apps/themes/plugins ?
  18. I have to say i am kinf of proud of myself 🙂 Coming from vbulletin, we had both public forum support and public roadmap and it seems appropriate. I have to say i really did appreciate the roadmap. Maybe without going so far as the roadmap, having a suggested feature list and a voting system would be nice so the community would feel listened to and it may be a good input for you. For instance my alarm provider has this very basic system : https://ajax.systems/features/
  19. I tend to agree with you, but then again it is a major cultural change regarding the way you provide support, you have to understand that people can't easily project into the new way of doing thing. Also, if you believe in community support, you should also consider having a community roadmap with a way to vote for features and so...
  20. You are right, but then you are definitely wrong to do it at the same time of a 50% price increase and without proper warning 🙂 I guess you chose to have kind of a "rip the band aid" approach.
  21. Also, does this mean that we should be prepare to yearly price increase from now on ? I am not saying it would not be reasonable (most IT contracts take 3% per year), but we have to be prepared :).
  22. Hi Matt, Thanks for the answer and i know you have a lot of remarks to answer but you should read them better, i actually on most of what you are saying regarding the yearly renewals and the global value of IPS. Now regarding the price increase, everybody can understand that the price had not move for 15 years and that you need to realign, but maybe you could have announced it a few weeks/months before actually applying it. Alsogiven the 50% incerease a stepped increase would have been approriate (20% in 3 months, 20% again 6 months later for instance). About support, as i said i think the most difficult part for us is that it is a complete u turn from what we've seen here for years. IPS teams has almost never provided support on the forum and rederected issues to the support tickets. Now i thin tha thaving support on the forum is nice because people having the same problem will find their solution form other people tickets. But you have to agree that it was not your policy so far.
  23. I have to say i did not read this topic at first because i thought the changes were only on the web site. Now i have 3 comments here : - Switching to yearly renewals is definitely a very good idea, most clients are here for a while and having to go through the order and payment process every 6 month is a pain. - To my view IPS was and still is quite affordable given its features, but still the increase is around 50% for most clients and this might be issue for some of us who having small sites just for fun without income. Now you can assume that these clients are not your target. - Removing ticket support is very hard to understand for thouse of us who are frequently on the community forum : for the 2 years i have been here (i think), i would say 90% of issues i saw reported by clients on the forum have been answering by "open a ticket". And now you say we won't be able to open tickets... you have to undestand this is not a good feeling. To conclude, you absolutely have to give free licenses to apps and plugins developpers, ther definetely are vital to the ecosystem and if guys such as @Nathan Explosion and @Adriano Faria were to loose interest in IPS this would be huge loss for your products.
  24. my issue is that most of my records wouldn't necessarily have a real adress. For instance dive spots have a tendancy to be in the middle of the sea 🙂
