I get this for every Beta since Beta 1. My dev environment uses PHP 8.3.13

IPS should really update their Standards of Service for those who have the new license. Even if you download the new package you are linked to the old license terms. I can't find the 2 year rule anywhere in my documents.

Besides Beta 3 I tested the upgrade on a copy of my main site and I always had a white page so far after upgrading when I opened my site. This is what I experienced and how I get it up and running. I didn't overwrite the files on the server. I deleted all the files and uploaded the new ones. Be careful: Don't delete your uploads/downloads folder etc.. On my dev site I don't care! I made sure the background task which is shown in the ACP was executed. I have a very small site and and I just clicked run it now. No, problems there. I cleared all the caches in the support section of the ACP. My main app is pages. After the upgrade I had to open every page and remove the used templates. Although, before the upgrade I switched to default templates this didn't help. I had to go in the the database settings and remove the templates as well. After these changes my dev site worked. Of course, none of the custom blocks in pages worked. But this I expected.

Done.

Yup. Shouldn't be too far away as 4.7.19 is already in Beta.

Well, I push this up again. Still the same with Beta 4. What is the purpose of this widget? 😄

Tried to upgrade my dev site from a backup of my live site and was able to obliterate my main site because being a dumbass. Forgot about the database credentials. Well, backups for the win, guys. All back to normal. The upgrade then went smoothly. But I had more things to tweak to get the dev site up and running with Beta 4 than with Beta 2 (didn't do the upgrade process of the live site with Beta 3).

Ah, okay. Thank you. I did a fresh install on my dev environment and I found out this table doesn't even exist in 4.7.18 🙂

Today I got the following error. I'm on the latest 4.7.18 release. A configuration issue has been detected on your community which requires your attention. Locked Task: clearUnconfirmed One of the routine maintenance tasks which run in the background has failed several times, which may indicate a configuration issue. DELETE FROM `core_hive_subscribers` WHERE subscribe_confirmed=0 AND subscribe_date<=1728325021 Table 'invisionpower_dyn.core_hive_subscribers' doesn't exist I personally never deleted any table. I added the table manually from a v5 Beta 3 install and the task went through. I don't if the v5 table is the best solution because I don't have any other available. I don't have any 3rd party plugins, applications installed as well. Any ideas how this could happen?

In the Page Editor under Pages there is a Database widget which should let you add a Database to a page. So far, so good. But for me this is never usable. I know there is a condition that a database can only be used on one page. But for me there is always under every circumstance already an existing page. When I edit the database in ACP and delete the page name and save it the software just creates a new page for the database. On the other hand, I can't delete this page in ACP. The option in the dropdown isn't available if the page is used by a database. So how is this supposed to work? Am I missing something? 🙂

Your Images Widget doesn't have the tools which other widgets have. Is this intended? The four left ones are not there.

Yeah sure, but this is wasting a lot of space. So I need to find either a better spot or present the information differently.

For me as well. And I have a vanilla install. This was for also the case from Beta 1 to Beta 2. I don't think it has something to do with folder permissions.

It is not recommended to update your production site with the Beta unless you know exactly what you're doing. You usually don't get support for Beta software if something goes wrong and you have to fix it yourself.

I started the automatic upgrade process in ACP and it went through until the actual upgrade. So downloading, unpacking etc. worked. Then it asked me to do the upgrade manually. Provided a download link with only the delta files. I followed the instructions, downloaded the delta, uploaded the files, started the upgrade with the provided button and it went through. This is just for information.

Perhaps, it doesn‘t work on a subdirectory. Don‘t know.

Did you add -TESTINSTALL after the key?

@Esther E. created an app for a client of me where you were able to buy an appointment from the Calendar. It was integrated in the store app. This was before she was working here. I don‘t know if she still does freelance stuff, though. But you could ask. Before you ask, no, I‘m not in the position to share this app. Sorry.

That‘s why I said fresh install and not upgrade.

I did a fresh install on my dev environment and didn't have any problems while installing. Besides the already logged Pages bug.

I can confirm this. I'm on Desktop Browser, not mobile.
