If your site supports HTTPS (again your host can confirm if it does) simply modify your conf_global.php file to change the URL in it to be https instead of http.  Then go to the support section of your ACP to rebuild your system cache.

Randy, Nathan - that did it, thankyou both so much

All seems to be working now - unless I find anything else. It also solved the linking to pages in long threads and certain admin pages not loading and the change Profile photo not working too   👍

Have you confirmed the new server meets all of the requirements for IPB by running the compatibility script?  

Have you checked to see if there are security tools such as mod_security or another firewall that might be blocking requests?
 
Have you tried disabling all third party resources (plugins/applications) to make sure one of them is not having the issue on the new server?

Last things first is there are no third party resources installed or being used so that's not applicable.

Where is the compatibility script? How is it run - not heard of it nor had to before so any pointers pls.

On the security tools/mod security etc. Again I'm not sure - I have no mods enabled. Is there anything I need to do as the new server has https automatically enabled whereas the old server it was an additional expensive add on so never had it - just http.  Could it be anything linked to this or not - again any pointers of threads on here which may assist?

Also the next page links aren't working when on a thread with multiple pages

I've moved server and domain host etc - the forum and DB at first glance appear to be working fine.

Since moving to the new server I completed an upgrade to the latest software too - and all that went without any errors too.

However, if you select to change your profile photo there's no part of the form to select a new image nor can you delete your current image

AND in Admin CP there are a number of pages which aren't accessible, especially some tabs on pages such as general or advanced config for instance.

The tabs are there but clicking them the new tab doesn't load

I've checked things such as 

Clear system caches and 

1. Ensure any folders which should be writable, remain writable on your new server. The folders which should be writable by the software are as follows
   applications
   datastore
   plugins
   uploads recursively (all contents)

Any thoughts or suggestions on what else I can try? 

I can guarentee if you post any questions you have here on this site, you will find th support you're looking for, and its expected that there would not be alot of guides and support, when the product has just been released. I checked google and was able to find this CSS guide. http://guide-css.invisionpower.fr/IPB-3.0-EN/ hopefully that helps, if you have any other issues im sure the community here would be more than willing to help you out.

Hi - I've just started using IPB 3 and Converge for a works project (very time limited) and I'm getting increasingly frustrated by the lack of Official online support and Help guides for both and no CSS guide either is making things very hit and miss for me as a beginner

I realise they're new but I'd expected there to be more available than nothing or have I missed them - if so then any links appreciated

Is there any news on if guides will be made and when they'll be available please - I'm guessing they'll unfortunately be too late for me though :(

I'd much rather use a guide than continually pose question after question via the client area as I'm sure they have better things to do too and it's also time consuming on my part
