    Could you please let us know what the users were doing at the time which they encountered this? This is typically our firewall blocking the user for an action we deemed unsafe or suspicious. However, it could be in error so we want to double check what is happening.

    Hi Jim,

    I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary, it happened to me when I went into the reports section to look at a couple of reported posts.

    Other users have said it's happened when they are just browsing the forum.

    Seems to last for maybe a minute then the session returns to normal.

    Very hard to re-create. I'm on the forum every day and it's only happened to me once.

    User just reported that this happened to them just a few minutes ago if that helps at all.

    User in question was "Rugster". Just browsing the forum.

  2. We have been getting reports of members experiencing sporadic 403 errors when using the forum. These affect the user for a couple of minutes, during which time they are unable to access the board. It only seems to affect the individual user, not the board as a whole.

    I experienced one myself this morning, have attached the error for you to see.

    Be grateful if you could advise?Could contain: Page, Text

  3. Hi guys,

    We completed a migration from self-hosted to cloud on Monday and vast majority of things seem to be running very smoothly.

    We have had a good few (and seems to be increasing) reports of some users unable to access certain sections of the forum now though, it seems to be mostly 500 errors they are receiving.

    Most users are totally unaffected but there also seems nothing particular in common about the users who are affected.

    If the user logs out and browses the forum as a guest they are able to see all categories and forums, but soon as they login they get the 500 error when accessing certain sections?

    To further confuse, if they get a notification of a topic update in that section of the board that they can't visit, they get there fine by clicking the link in the notification!?

    It's so strange but I've exhausted all avenues so I need help!

    The only thing I can see in the logs is a repeated entry of this;

    #0 /var/www/html/107694/system/Dispatcher/Front.php(494): IPS\_Widget::load(Object(IPS\core\Application), 'announcements', 'h30s3are2', Array, NULL, 'horizontal')
    #1 /var/www/html/107694/init.php(932) : eval()'d code(46): IPS\Dispatcher\_Front->finish()
    #2 /var/www/html/107694/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(155): IPS\Dispatcher\cloud_hook_ipsDispatcherFront->finish()
    #3 /var/www/html/107694/index.php(13): IPS\_Dispatcher->run()
    #4 {main}

    No idea if that is relevant or a red herring.

    Any ideas please? It's driving me mad!

  4. Hi guys,

    I have one license on my account that I no longer need and I don't want it to auto-renew.

    I can't seem to find a way of ceasing the license in question via the client area. How can I do this please?

    If they are appearing in the Email Error log, that would indicate an issue with connecting your SMTP server rather than the software. As you can see there is an error of 421 Service not available... That is coming from your SMTP server. Please reach out to your email provider for assistance.

    Yeah I can see that error, it only seems to apply to emails relating to reports but I will go round the loop with the SMTP provider.

  6. Thanks for the reply. I've installed 4.7.6 tonight but same problem remains.

    Emails go to some of the moderating team, but 4 of them don't receive anything and I can see the emails in "Email Errors" in the Support section where I can successfully resend them.

    I've even had those mods switch off email notifications then switch it back on, but it does not want to send them to those mods and I do not know why!

    This is what appears in the logs (we use an SMTP gateway to send our emails)

  7. We've recently moved our forum to a new server, applied all the latest updates to 4.7.5, and we've changed our SMTP gateway, so a lot of stuff has changed.

    Everything working well except one thing. Some of the mods, not all of them, are no longer receiving notifications of reported content.

    Until a couple of days ago no mods were receiving the notifications but I went to the support section on the forum and found there was a patch to apply for this very reason so I've applied that and now some of the mod team are receiving them and some are not.

    In the email error log I can see the emails in question sat there, and I can release them manually and they are delivered but I'm getting no reason why they weren't automatically delivered.

    The same mods are receiving all other forum email notifications fine, like topics they follow, digest emails etc...

    I'm stumped and need help!
