Not really it was originally stated it would be ready in December 08 its now May 09.

Im sure it will be a good product but paying customers dont have to thank anyone for releasing a project massively over its first general release timeframe.

If it isnt today its probably going to be next week i cant see them releasing it on a friday.

They also told us quarter 4 in 2008 then scratched that now not even quarter 2 in 2009 is going to be achieved. I dont mean to sound like im having ago just that the timeframes dont mean a lot to IPS.

Just have to wait till its ready :)

any chance you can just fix the file in beta 5 then you know the known settings variable one.

I have a Mac and using all the methods mentioned i still cannot get it to work. :)

Guess they released how popular this option is going to be!

You can do this with a mod for vB... only problem is, I don't believe you can ban users...

facebook is everything openid wishes it was...

I can test this (having a Vb board!)

I for one is willing to pay for such a modification...

I have a dark side forum (vbulletin) and today ive installed a hack that allows people to register by using a facebook login, its good in the respect it doesnt reveal the users info (email address etc) but yet in can tie in a users profile pic to become an Avatar.

I can see a big future for this kind of mod once its properly configured and support so im interested in see Bfarbers work when he gets around to it ;) .

EDIT: It also sends notifications off to facebook when a user is sent a PM and gives the option to publish a topic in a users wall posts on facebook etc, it also makes members who are friends on facebook it also makes them friends in the forum too.

Hows about instead of IPB 4.0 IPB 360 eh? ;)

In my forum this could be useful with my site being related to a band groups could be created to show people who are attending a certain concert on x date.

I think something similar to the Facebook chat system would be a fantastic addition!
