  1. Thank you, I do see it in the logs, but it’s not very helpful. I looked up the IP, they are from Canada. I do not have any blocks on yahoo accounts.
  2. 4.7.19 A user tried to register, but got this error: You are not permitted to register a user account with this site." Error code 2s129/1. What could cause that? (also on this post, when I did Ctrl-V to paste the error, the editor disappeared. It came back when I refreshed the page)
  3. I visit this site several times a day. It used to be very simple to mark things as read. Now it’s several clicks away. Again, a first world problem. I visit several other sites once or twice a day too - they used to be in Marketplace, but that was removed, so now it’s nearly impossible to find add-ons. It’s nice that most of those are still on v4, so if there are posts I am not interested in, I can simply click the mark read link. I liked the post count, that was removed (or possibly never there). I LOVED seeing the title of the next unread topic as one of my sites is for cycling and I don’t like spoilers when the Tour de France is on. Now a lot of suspense gets ruined for me as we watch it a day or two later. That option was removed. I could go on with the many items we liked that were removed, as could others. This is your software, I assumed you were interested in customer feedback, over the years, I really don’t get that sense. Just because you don’t like a feature, doesn’t mean we don’t. I won’t complain or make suggestions any longer.
  4. Daily on several sites. I have my favorite set to Unread Content. I right click on topics I want to read, then I need to scroll to the top, click my name, find the link, and click it. In the past, I read the topics, was at the bottom of the page, and simply clicked the link. First world issue, but this is now significantly harder to do.

Can you please consider moving “Mark site read” to the footer? It is not intuitive to find it under your name. Thank you
  7. My Peavey amp goes to 13. I predict 13 will be the last beta.
  8. Seriously, how did we make it this far without this being posted?
  9. Thanks, I never noticed that before, except for major releases. I thought these minor releases were just, well, released. 🙂
  10. Hi, Why is this maintenance release a beta? Thanks
  11. Very nice. Any chance you'd modify it for v5 so we can add our own? Maybe put a small fee on it? 🙂
  12. OK, thanks. Is there a way to add sharing items to the first smaller pop-up that is controlled by in the ACP?
13. I don't understand. For instance, I went to Sharing in the ACP and turned off Pinterest, and that no longer shows in the sharing link on the page. Then I click more sharing options, and there are items listed there. Can I add a sharing option? This video shows it to the point of the second pop-up, it would not capture that, but you can see it in the pic above. https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/35411961?key=30969a85ea4b6f7f914f62509fb7e76a
  14. How do I control where items are shared? I click this on the Share link on a post: and it brings up this window. I'd like Instagram to also be there. Thanks

I have a promoted topic that shows in "Our Picks". It's a popular post from 2024. We have a new one for 2025 that I promoted. How to I remove the 2024 from the promoted / Our Picks section? The 2024 topic is licked, not sure if that means anything or is why I can't find a way to remove it. Thanks
  16. Ahh, nevermind on the pricing issue. To test it, I set it to 1 penny, Stripe must have a minimum, as I set it to 5 dollars and the option showed up. Still not sure why I'd pick a subscription over a product the renews. Is there a difference?
  17. Thanks, it's a little confusing because I also added "products" that people can purchase to help support the site. Plus there is donations. So now I'll end up with three different places where people can go to help support the site. This is the first Subscription. It was set to Any for payment method, but Stripe was not showing up, so I unselected all and selected both PayPal and Stripe. It still does not present an option. This is what a product looks like Unrelated issue?
  18. Is there an option for regular payments? For instance, can I create a "Sustaining Member" subscription where the member pays x dollars each month - automatically? Thanks
  19. Does it tell you the email address that was involved? I have two programs I use, IPS software and a newsletter program (on my server). When I get a bounced email I go to both programs and set them to not receive email from me any longer. This can be tedious if you have many of them. I use these two items to help in the ACP. This one stops all email communication from IPS https://www.sosinvision.com.br/index.php?/file/310-stop-all-members-email-notifications/&tab=reviews&sort=newest#review-46 This one is a reminder that shows up at whatever interval you want asking the user to confirm their email. I set mine to once a year. https://www.sosinvision.com.br/index.php?/file/91-email-address-confirmation/ There are version 5 options on his site too.
  20. Hi, Will this be added to the 4 or maybe 5 series? It would be a big help in gaining donations if there was a link right next to the totals, and not buried in a menu. 🙂 Thanks
  21. Same issue. I had one, I changed it to Discussions, I still see the message. Also, Status Updates are set to "Disabled by default", but I see that warning also.

I got an email from my host stating they are updating all servers to TLS 1.3. Does this affect the software that runs on the server or just the server? If it affects the server, does IPS run on TLS 1.3? Thanks
  23. Thank you for your candor. One more thing we need to wait for is themes and add-ons. Fortunately, I only use themes from @Ehren, so I know I'm in good hands there. I have a bunch of plugins, I suspect I'll just need to get along without those, or ideally those authors convert them to apps. Either way, I will end up with fewer add-ons than I currently have as it seems many people have abandoned them.
