  1. Just to note, when I upgraded from B4 to B5 everything remained as it was previously set.
  2. Yes Check the Task Method for your site (you can type it in the search bar). Mine was set to run through Cron, but for some reason after I upgraded to Beta 4 it reverted to Run Automatically With Traffic. See if yours did the same, because if you don't have a high traffic site, some of the tasks won't run as frequently as they would with Cron.
  3. I have tried. That is the issue and why I posted it in the bug section, because I am unable to get posted text to be similar to the default text I posted it in the bug tracker because I don’t think it functions as intended. You should be able to remove any type of formatting from posted text so that it can be removed to match the default text; however there is no way to do so.
  4. I know you created your own editor for v5, but there is an issue I am having with it compared with v4. In v4 you could paste copied text and it would give you the option to paste as plain text or rich text. In v5 there is no option to do so (at least where I can find or find a setting to add), so what you paste may appear very different than standard text. I know there is an option to remove formatting, but depending how the text is, it does not respond the same as the paste as plain text in v4. Also, if the text is very large, the font size option may not get it anywhere close at 80%. Below is an example. The top line is how text normally appears. The middle is the text I pasted. The bottom is the middle text with the formatting removed, color removed, and text size set to the lowest option, 80%. As you can see it is no where close to what the default is. There needs to be a way to paste as plain text again (preferable), or at least have more control, such as being able to choose the exact font size instead of by percentage (or be able to go much smaller than 80%), so that an posted text can be made to match the default text of the editor.
  5. What is your Task Method set to?
  6. Yes. I believe it was fixed back in Beta 3, because it started working after upgrading from Beta 2
  7. I started self hosted of v5 with a clean install of Beta 1 and have upgraded each time the new betas have come out. I noticed after upgrading to Beta 4 that some things didn't seem to update as quickly as they did in the other versions, or that I would have to go in an manually clear the cache to get some things to update. Today I happen to go in and look at the Task Method and noticed that it was set to Run Automatically With Traffic. It had been configured to run with Cron ever since I set it up originally. When I switched it back it said that the task.php wasn't set to 777. Sure enough, the permissions had reverted back to 644. So, not sure what has happened, but is it possible that that could be changed while upgrading, since I definitely didn't go back and change anything since originally installing v5
  8. So, just to make sure I am correct… if the parent category is not visible, but the child forum is set to visible, even using the direct link, the child forum will give that error message?
  9. I have also noticed caching issues since upgrading to B4 which require me to manually clear the cache after making changes on the backend.
  10. Video Gaming Forums https://www.videogamingforums.com
  11. Not sure if this is a bug or not, and I may be totally off, but I always thought it was possible to have hidden forums or subforums where they weren’t visible in the list, but could be accessed if you knew the URL. For example I have a top level category, called Category 1, which is set to not visible. Then I have a forum called Forum 1, which is set to visible, underneath Category 1. Based on the settings nothing should show up since Category 1 isn’t set to visible, but since Forum 1 is set to visible, the content in it should still be visible by the direct URL. However, if the Category 1 is set to not visible and you go to the URL for Forum 1, you get the error message “ Sorry! We could not locate the item you are trying to view. Error code: 2F176/1 ”
  12. Ok. I think I have figured out the issue, but I still believe it probably isn’t functioning as intended. If “Users can view the results before voting?” setting is set to disabled, then you get the error message, even if you have voted. If the option is enabled then the people who have voted can see the results, like they should. However, those who have not voted can choose to view the results before voting, and then go back and vote, even though the note on the setting says it forfeits their ability to vote.
  13. Whenever some one votes in a poll, once they submit it displays the following response "You do not have permission to vote in this poll, or see the poll results." even when the group setting for "Can view poll results?" is set to Always. This occurs in Beta 1 and 2.
  14. The Leader of the Day badge is not showing on profiles when they have won, even with the option "Show a badge on the profile of the day's winner?" is selected.
  15. I was attempting to upload 2 images to a post. My settings for content are for images only. For user permissions Total Maximum Storage is Unlimited. Maximum Storage For Each Submission is set to 1024 kB (1 MB). If I upload 1 image it uploads fine. If I upload a second image (or try to upload 2 images at the same time) I get an error pop up that says and this is how the upload section appears It appears from playing around with numbers, that the sizes of the images are being calculated improperly. As you can see from the images attempting to be uploaded, their total size is 6 KB. Definitely way smaller than 1 MB. However, if I up the size to 1030 KB, then both will upload. So somehow 6 KB is translating into around 1 MB when uploading and causing it to think the file sizes are way bigger than they are
