  1. What is your Task Method set to?
  2. Yes. I believe it was fixed back in Beta 3, because it started working after upgrading from Beta 2
  3. I started self hosted of v5 with a clean install of Beta 1 and have upgraded each time the new betas have come out. I noticed after upgrading to Beta 4 that some things didn't seem to update as quickly as they did in the other versions, or that I would have to go in an manually clear the cache to get some things to update. Today I happen to go in and look at the Task Method and noticed that it was set to Run Automatically With Traffic. It had been configured to run with Cron ever since I set it up originally. When I switched it back it said that the task.php wasn't set to 777. Sure enough, the permissions had reverted back to 644. So, not sure what has happened, but is it possible that that could be changed while upgrading, since I definitely didn't go back and change anything since originally installing v5
  4. So, just to make sure I am correct… if the parent category is not visible, but the child forum is set to visible, even using the direct link, the child forum will give that error message?
  5. I have also noticed caching issues since upgrading to B4 which require me to manually clear the cache after making changes on the backend.
  6. Video Gaming Forums https://www.videogamingforums.com
  7. Not sure if this is a bug or not, and I may be totally off, but I always thought it was possible to have hidden forums or subforums where they weren’t visible in the list, but could be accessed if you knew the URL. For example I have a top level category, called Category 1, which is set to not visible. Then I have a forum called Forum 1, which is set to visible, underneath Category 1. Based on the settings nothing should show up since Category 1 isn’t set to visible, but since Forum 1 is set to visible, the content in it should still be visible by the direct URL. However, if the Category 1 is set to not visible and you go to the URL for Forum 1, you get the error message “ Sorry! We could not locate the item you are trying to view. Error code: 2F176/1 ”
  8. Ok. I think I have figured out the issue, but I still believe it probably isn’t functioning as intended. If “Users can view the results before voting?” setting is set to disabled, then you get the error message, even if you have voted. If the option is enabled then the people who have voted can see the results, like they should. However, those who have not voted can choose to view the results before voting, and then go back and vote, even though the note on the setting says it forfeits their ability to vote.
  9. Whenever some one votes in a poll, once they submit it displays the following response "You do not have permission to vote in this poll, or see the poll results." even when the group setting for "Can view poll results?" is set to Always. This occurs in Beta 1 and 2.
  10. The Leader of the Day badge is not showing on profiles when they have won, even with the option "Show a badge on the profile of the day's winner?" is selected.
  11. I was attempting to upload 2 images to a post. My settings for content are for images only. For user permissions Total Maximum Storage is Unlimited. Maximum Storage For Each Submission is set to 1024 kB (1 MB). If I upload 1 image it uploads fine. If I upload a second image (or try to upload 2 images at the same time) I get an error pop up that says and this is how the upload section appears It appears from playing around with numbers, that the sizes of the images are being calculated improperly. As you can see from the images attempting to be uploaded, their total size is 6 KB. Definitely way smaller than 1 MB. However, if I up the size to 1030 KB, then both will upload. So somehow 6 KB is translating into around 1 MB when uploading and causing it to think the file sizes are way bigger than they are
  12. When attempting to change the Number of Points for a rank, I get the following error message: EX1054 Something went wrong. Please try again. 13. No. I was using my regular key. I did finally get it to take, but I had to just keep submitting it over and over. After about the 7th or 8th time it finally took it and proceeded with the installation.
  14. I just tried doing a clean install of 5.0 Beta 1 on my server, and when it get to the part about entering my license I get the error message "The license key supplied is not valid. Please check the provided key and try again or contact IPS technical support for more assistance." It is copied directly from the Client Area.
  15. I guess when I was initially explaining, I didn't do a good job. The issue I have with the whole thing I guess is that I think clubs should really be self contained, because as it appears now, even guests, who have no ability to join a club, are able to see every event that is posted in an public or open club, on the community calendar. Depending on how you use clubs, if you have a large site, and let anyone create clubs, there could potentially be hundreds or thousands of clubs. If each of them is actively creating events, this would make a huge mess on the public community calendar. I guess I think of the Community Calendar as something for the "main site" to post events to, not for the entire site to appear on as well. Maybe if this is how it is designed, there can be an option to disable certain club types, such as public and open, so they will stay more contained.
