Carole Asselin Posted December 11 Posted December 11 My forum is open to all members (paying and non-paying), however, there is a private section only for the paying members. One non-member emailed me about something she saw in the "snippet" that appears on the side, while these posts are meant to be private and she does not have access to that section. Is there a way to keep that hidden for the members who should not see that area of the forum? I mean, I set up a private section to stay private and now, it does show part of the private posts, publicly.
Marc Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I would need more information on this (where you saw the 'snippet', and which member was logged in and could see this, that shouldnt have been able to). No info would be visible unless permissions are valid to see the content
Carole Asselin Posted December 11 Author Posted December 11 Here is my forum: https://scrapbookcampus.com/invision/forums/ The snippets are on the right side. Right now, two private threads are still showing: "Paper Workshop" and "Coming in 2025" (depending on when you look at it). Even non-members, not logged in visitors seem to see those on the right. Maybe you do too.
Marc Posted December 11 Posted December 11 You are not honouring permissions on that block, which is what is causing you issues
Solution Hatsu Posted December 11 Solution Posted December 11 This setting is in the block configuration. So open "Manage Blocks" on the main site in the frontend. Then edit the block and there is the setting.
