Hello!

I am writing regarding an issue with opening attachments posted on our InvisionCommunity. We discovered earlier this week that when people tried to open the attachments, they instead displayed this error message: "Sorry! We could not locate the item you are trying to view." The error code is 2S328/2.

To try and address the issue we tried clearing system caches, but that did not fix the problem. I also see that version 4.7.19 is now available to be installed and that the issue might be fixed in the upgrade, but when I started install, it said that 3 custom resources may need attention:

  1. Default
  2. Uconnect 2.0
  3. English (USA)

It says to refer to custom authors of these resources for compatibility information, but I am unclear on how to do that as the author is no longer employed with our organization. As both the Default and Uconnect 2.0 are listed as our themes, I do not want to risk our InvisionCommunity malfunctioning in this upgrade process.

My questions then are:

  1. Can you please help me check for compatibility before the install?
  2. Is there anything else besides the install that needs to be done to resolve this error with attachments?

Thanks!

I'm afraid, third-party customizations are outside our scope of support so you will need to work with a third-party provider if you wish to review these further.

The upgrade is needed to resolve your issue with downloads. The upgrade is a relatively minor one so you can, of course, upgrade and disable your third party applications/plugins/themes if you run into any issues.

Hi Jim. Thanks for that information. Is there a way to revert the upgrade if it causes issues?

It is generally better to resolve (or your case disable the customization) the issue than revert but we do have backups on cloud.
