Running Invision 4 and this morning I can't log in to my control panel. The login credentials are correct but when I enter my username/password nothing happens.

You would need to update to the latest release of the platform here. We would not really be able to provide support for the version you are running. It appears you havent updated your site in what is coming up to a decade

Ok TY. True I haven't updated it in a decade and I absolutely should do that. However right now I don't have the time to set aside to do that big upgrade and am just hoping that there is a solution to fix this in the meantime. Everything else on my board is working fine.

Alternatively if I do the upgrade myself what are the steps I have to follow?
Yes it is likely crazy-ridiculous for me to be asking this question when I haven't upgraded in a decade but better late than never.
I need to get my admincp fixed asap.

Q: How much would it cost for me (if you provide this service) to have Invision upgrade my board?

We do not provide upgrade services on the self hosted platform unfortunately.

At this point, you would need to do the following

  1. Backup backup backup. Make sure you have both your files and database backed up fully
  2. Upload a fresh set of files from your client area (your site will be broken at this point)
  3. Upload the requirement checker from here -
  4. Upload the requirement checker to your server, and run this
  5. Address any items showing in the requirement checker
  6. Run the upgrader from /admin/upgrade

Update: My board webhost provider has fixed the problem for me. They confirmed it was some kind of bug in their PHP security software which is now fixed.

All good now.
