Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
I_cant_Swim_ Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I was reading some of the questions posted here on the forum, and came across this one and the recommended solution. Out of curiosity, I then checked up ACP-> System/Site Features/Applications/System/Moderator CP I've never changed any of these settings here before. When looking up permissions in this window, why do Guests and Members appear to have access to the Moderator CP module ("Can access module" box is pre-ticked)? Obviously, this setting is overridden somewhere as guest and members don't have such access, but why was it set this way apparently by default?
Marc Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Every group will be ticked on module permissions by default. General permissions for areas will then be defined by other areas. So mod CP for example shows if you are a moderator. Module permissions are really meant for if you want to switch an area off as if it doesnt exist for a group at all. I_cant_Swim_ 1
