Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Leon de Graaff Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 The the events backend under iCalendar there is a nice button that triggers the refresh/new import for new events from a ical file. I've checked but the link produced is locked to a user. So I can't trigger it with a simple old fashioned crondjob. Is there a way to do this without the user locked key? There is Zapier, but we don't want to use that. Why? Because it's another service we need to keep up and we have everything we need to do it ourselves. Cronjob is also being used for the tasks, so why not just add this in as well?
Jim M Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 These should automatically refresh via the system. Is there a reason why you're attempting to do this?
Leon de Graaff Posted September 30, 2023 Author Posted September 30, 2023 What would be the update rate? Because I tried and it looks like events where'd imported after initial import.
Leon de Graaff Posted September 30, 2023 Author Posted September 30, 2023 Ok, scratch this, it took a while, but it synced. Still wondering what triggers the sync.
Solution Jim M Posted September 30, 2023 Solution Posted September 30, 2023 There's a background task which runs every 4 hours to update iCalender feeds. Leon de Graaff 1
