Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Igor Denisov Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Can you give me more information so I know where to look for the problem? I ask all but nothing
Marc Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I feel there may have been misunderstanding there. Your site was not accessible at all at the time I sent the message there. So I couldnt get on to check anything. It does seem to be back now We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section. We look forward to further assisting you.

You can change the login method at your Admin Panel->Login & Registration->Methods. While editing the Standard option, select the desired method where it says: Authentication Type. Igor Denisov 1

teraßyte Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 (edited) That will break the login for all your users accustomed to login with their email. At least change it to Display Name or Email Address. In any case, @Jim M wanted you to replace the display name with the email address in the client area here on the IPS site (where you entered the details earlier): https://invisioncommunity.com/clientarea Edited September 14, 2023 by teraßyte Marc and Igor Denisov 2
Marc Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 The following guide shows how to add access details if needed https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/client-services/getting-support-r292/#access Igor Denisov 1
Marc Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Please check those details as your admin CP is returning that the details are incorrect Igor Denisov 1

Igor Denisov Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 The problem is that I don't understand what's wrong. I have never changed this data. That is, they remained the same as 1 year ago when you helped me. If it doesn't work, write to me in more detail.
Marc Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Im not sure how I can write in more detail here. I attempt to log into your admin CP with the details provided, and it states the details are incorrect. So I cannot access. Im not sure how not understanding what is wrong means you are unable to update these in our secure location rather than PM?
Marc Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Looking at the logs, it seems your server is blocking facebook by the look of it. You will need to contact your hosting company to correct this Igor Denisov 1
Igor Denisov Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I sent a request to the hotser. He replied that there were no restrictions. He asks for more information. Quote Dear Customer, We do not restrict any outgoing or incoming connections to the server. The problem is supposed to be in the server configuration. You can also check with the developer what exactly he meant. Thank you.
Marc Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 There isnt really much more information I can give. If you go to System logs in your admin CP, click the advanced search icon and filter for type 'facebook' you will see the errors present there

Marc Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 I'm not sure I understand the question here. That's the time that one item was logged. In the case of that one, for profile sync. However there are logs for login too. You will see they are all connection time out and could not resolve host messages, over 15 pages there.
Igor Denisov Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Thank you this Hosting support answer And screenshots Quote There are no problems with the FB domain. I am attaching the results. We also added the file fbtest.php to the directory /var/www/embroideres/data/www/forum.embroideres.com with curl code that makes a GET request to the address https://graph.facebook.com and displays the response on the screen. You can see for yourself that the request reaches the FB servers without any problems and we receive a response without any problems. https://forum.embroideres.com/fbtest.php
Marc Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 While I understand what your host is saying there, this does not change the connection timeout messages you are getting when trying to connect Igor Denisov 1
