Posted June 20, 20231 yr We have a lot of bugs in two latests updates, v4.7.10 and v4.7.11. How can we go back in a downgrade to older and stable versions until you can solve all issues? We have to offer excellent usability to our customers and this is not the way to do it. Thanks a lot.

June 20, 20231 yr Community Expert Solution So I think that it's necesary to add this function in upcoming updates to solve inmediatly this heavy bugs. We would not add the facility to downgrade. If you are concerned about there being possible bugs in a release, you could always wait a few days to see the feedback from others on any issues, just as a suggestion.

Thanks @Marc Stridgen I will do so. What day of the month do you normally release the new update?

That would make it very easy to roll back to the previous version should you wish to do so. However, as mentioned above, all the new content from after the backup will be lost.

For this upgrade there was a red banner inviting to update as soon as possible for security reason... You should at least provide patches for the security issue for the last 2 or 3 releases if your advice is to delay upgrade...
June 23, 20231 yr Community Expert For this upgrade there was a red banner inviting to update as soon as possible for security reason... You should at least provide patches for the security issue for the last 2 or 3 releases if your advice is to delay upgrade... Our advice would be to upgrade as soon as it makes sense to do so for your community. However, if you are worried about potential bugs, then you would need to weigh that with security, etc... of the latest release. TBF to our dev team, we patched the bugs the OP were referring to quickly before and including in the security release of 4.7.11.1.
June 23, 20231 yr I ma just saying that when you mention security issue and without more information I tend to upgrade immediately as there could be an exploit on the site. Maybe you could define the criticality of the security issue, after all CVEs are scored from 0 to 10.
