How to remove promoted posts from notification emails?

I've promoted a few posts on my forum so they're listed under "Our Picks", however now those also appear in every notification email being sent. Is there a way to remove them from the notification emails?

You would remove them from my picks if there are items you dont want to appear in the emails either. Alternatively if you dont want ant showing at all, you can shut them off from System>Settings>Email
