Changing Pages Records' Author

Is there a third party plugin to change the author of a Pages record? I think I've seen one for changing the date but I don't seem to find one for changing the author. (Of course there's one or more for changing forum posts authors though).

In the absence of one, is there a safe way of doing it?

You can change it in your ACP while editing the record there.
