Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Jacro-au Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 I am migrating hosts, and in the process trying to complete an upgrade on the new environment before switching over where my domain is pointing. I had to manually upload files to the server via FTP. During the system/file check part of the upgrade, I receive the following and am not sure how to proceed. "If you are sure the files have been uploaded correctly, make sure the permissions are set correctly on them." All files exist on the server and were set as CHMOD 644.
ThunderBlue Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 Check that these folders are with permissions 777 applications plugins upload upload/log
Jacro-au Posted March 22, 2023 Author Posted March 22, 2023 They are - should any of them recurse into subdirectories/files also?

Jacro-au Posted March 22, 2023 Author Posted March 22, 2023 Thanks, but still no good. The system check confirms that all of those folders are writeable, but it's specifically the files listed in my OP that are stopping things from progressing.
Solution Marc Posted March 23, 2023 Solution Posted March 23, 2023 Please upload a fresh set of file from your client area. The issue there is actually more likely (almost 100% of cases) that the files have not been updated
Jacro-au Posted March 23, 2023 Author Posted March 23, 2023 Thank you - replaced those files and all good.
