Michael Collins Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Hi, After updating to PHP 8.0.27 I am getting this error: Quote You do not have the cURL PHP extension loaded or it is running a version less than 7.36. Enabling the cURL module provides a more efficient and reliable library for making connections from your website to other websites. You should contact your hosting provider or system administrator to ensure the cURL PHP extension is enabled and up to date. I have been told by my hosting provide that the extension is enabled but that the latest version available is 7.29. Is this correct? Am is missing something here, are there some certain instructions I need to tell my hosting provider? Thanks, Mike
Jim M Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 That is not correct as you can see here the version of curl which are available: https://curl.se/docs/releases.html I have also moved this to the appropriate forum to receive assistance with self-hosted issues on the server itself.
Michael Collins Posted January 9, 2023 Author Posted January 9, 2023 Ok, there seems to be a lot of difficulty getting liquidweb to update it for me and they don't really seem sure about what they're doing. This comment seems to suggest if you are on CentOS7, which I am, then this is likely the issue preventing update. Is that correct?
