test license

Anyone run into this problem installing a test site? I put a test install of my license key and get that error you see.

That would actually indicate your server cant contact the license server, rather than there being an issue with your key. Please check the server you are running that on, can externally connect to remoteservices.invisionpower.com

Its a localhost xampp server. working now for some reason thanks.

The same would apply there. It still needs to be able to contact the licensing server.
