Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Iann Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 We have been self hosted for a very long time. Our site was built around html for the longest time. My content guy has moved around 99% of the content to use pages in the forum. That being said there are still images used in pages that are outside the main forum folder. Would those get moved to the cloud and into the database or forum file structure during a move to the cloud? We are currently hosted with GoDaddy and have been running into resource limits that make our site give errors. I do not have the time to keep up with the site as much as I used to so looking for easier solution for the site. Just thought of a couple other questions. In the get support section of the admin section I have always had the database hints that say Compact table type should be changed and the Non-InnoDB tables, I looked and almost all my tables are setup that way from way back when we first moved to Invision. Would these be fixed / changed when / if we moved to the cloud?

You would need to move these into our software itself (Pages Media would handle these well) or use an external image host. You cannot move files outside of the software to our Cloud, I'm afraid. 14 minutes ago, Iann said: In the get support section of the admin section I have always had the database hints that say Compact table type should be changed and the Non-InnoDB tables, I looked and almost all my tables are setup that way from way back when we first moved to Invision. However, if you did perform the move, we can factor this into your migration when you speak to our Sales team. Speaking of which, if you're interested, I can move this to our Sales team so you can get any further questions answered. Please let me know.
