Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Manuel Molina Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 I would like to set up a blog in main menu, where only the community administrator can post articles. I have been going back and forward to databases and pages, and dont seem to get it right. I know how to add something to the manin menu, but not to set up a page where I will be creating the blogs. I wan to name this section Top Stories. Can anyone provide advice? I searched for this topic but couldnt find a discussion on this. Thank you.
Hatsu Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Does this guide help you to create a page and set it up with your database?
Manuel Molina Posted January 22, 2022 Author Posted January 22, 2022 Thank you Hatsu. I read it and created a page, and aded a database I created, but it doesn show the button to create a new article.
Manuel Molina Posted January 22, 2022 Author Posted January 22, 2022 I created the page and added the database... Then it shows like this.... And the publisher is inside articles.... I would like to have a blog just like ther Invision Community, where I can publish posts for the community to read.... for example:
Marc Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Edit the articles database (Pages->Content->Databases->Edit icon) and change the "Use categories" selector to no. You would also want the "Database index" setting to "Show like articles" This should get you closer to where you need to be.
