Vanity URL's for profiles?

Hey,

Is it possible to change profile URL's to /profile/username instead of /profile/userid-username/?

There would be no way in which to do that, as the ID is what is actually pulling the profile up, rather than the name. The name is indeed only there for vanity purposes. If the person changed their name, their old link would actually still work
