How to clear pending notification tasks?

I have a lot of old pending notifications and i guess this is making my tasks getting stuck..
Most of them is about two year olds topics... i just want to clear the queue

When I have had this issue, it needed a database fix.

Throw in a ticket to support and have them take a look at it as it can build up if you are unlucky.
