Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Pavel Chernitsky Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 (edited) So we've just recently launched member subscriptions and put a widget for them on the community's main page. To my surprise, I saw that at the bottom of the widget there's a "see all subscriptions" (screenshot No.1), while none of the other widgets have that same link (Screenshots No.2+3). It's funny because the subscription widget shows all the available subscriptions and doesn't allow to choose how many subscriptions to show, while other widgets such as articles (databases), clubs, blogs etc. do exactly the opposite - they allow you to choose how many "entries" they show, and don't have a "see all" link. Anybody know why it's like that? Edited November 15, 2020 by Pavel Chernitsky
Morrigan Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 Well those appear to be topic feed widgets and how is the system to know what "see all" means when it could be coming from multiple places/forums/categories?
Pavel Chernitsky Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 As mentioned - the screenshots are from articles (databases) and blogs. In that case, "see all" should take you to the main articles/blogs page.
Morrigan Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Well you can add that but my point still remains as far as why it doesn't exist. Do you need help in adding it to those blocks?
Pavel Chernitsky Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 The thing is we only have (currently) one "category" of articles, so all the ones displayed are taken from the same page, and regarding the blogs/clubs - I think it makes sense for it to take you to the main blogs/clubs page. If there is a way to add it, I'd love to know how.
Pavel Chernitsky Posted November 30, 2020 Author Posted November 30, 2020 Anyone has any idea on how to work around that? Especially @Morrigan who asked me if I needed help? 🙂
