Moderator actions on post?

So this was more of a "it would have been nice" in the moment so I figured I'd see if anyone else liked it and if it could be implemented or not.

So basically this idea is to allow for "Lock" or "Pin" or "Feature" actions to be performed when a moderator with permissions replies to a post.

My use case was I was replying to a thread and intended to lock it as well.

There are two ways to do this:

Post then Lock

Lock then post (if you have permission to reply to locked threads).

 

It would remove having to do two actions if they were just a toggle like "Follow" or "Hide" (a feature that is available to mods now mind you) right above the submit button.

that will help, what about silent editing? I think is not there anymore?

You need this feature once a year and therefore you want to add extra buttons to the editor window? Brilliant solution! (No)

Once a year? I guess you don’t to any moderation on your forums.
