How To Stop Dimming Forum Icons

How can I stop the forum icons from dimming?

For example, below, the icon for the "Conferences" forum is dimmed.

I use this in my custom.css. 

[data-pagecontroller="index"] .ipsItemStatus.ipsItemStatus_read { opacity:1; }
