Dropdown country selection in Calendar app

When adding a new event to the calendar and when choosing the country where the event takes place, it shows by default the United Kingdom. Any other country in the world can be selected if required. 

Is it possible to change the default country and to shorten list of available countries in the dropdown list? I was unable to find any setting for this.

Hi,

no that's not possible out of the box. The country is pre selected based on the users browser language settings.
