Problem: Notify me of replies doesn't work

My users told me that the function follow topic does not work reliably. Even if you create a topic and want to be informed about new posts, it doesn't work for many users.

Is ist a bug?

Probably not a bug. But it’s impossible to say from just the description. First thing I would check is the user’s notification settings. There are post-specific settings and general preferences. You can even be a follower of a topic and have every kind of notification turned off. That’s a feature, not a bug.
