uploading large gifs (40MBs or bigger) causes 504 error

any ideas why that might be?

I already know that nobody should upload gifs that large.. but still, I don't want a 504 error if they try.

504 are server time outs. Basically the server took too long to respond to complete the upload and errored out based on the timeout settings (I believe the PHP timeout settings IIRC).
