How to create Virtual Venues

Am I the only "fool" that thinks of venues not only like physical locations, but also virtual locations or internet meeting points?
For example, nowadays users can meet in Fortnight or any other game server to play. They can also meet in youtube live videos to comment and yell to each other, Alas! 🎥 they can also meet on Instagram live  ... I need URL links and/or pictures for the venues; not only addresses. 

I imagine there must be many gaming communities;  how do they set up virtual venues using the IPS Calendar? I've been exploring the options but I don't see anything suitable for this. There are 2 plugins that deal with venues on the marketplace, but none deals with this issue.

I'm probably missing something here, so help would be appreciated 😇

Great suggestion! We've had our international based members organise week long celebrations and seasonal events in the past on our community. My members have also organised Skype sessions.
