coert_g Posted March 14, 2019 Share Posted March 14, 2019 I was quite surprised to see that there's no way for users to retain nested quotes inside of posts. With the forum software we used before, if you quote a user's post that has quotes in it, it retains those quotes in your post. This is essential for allowing users to follow a conversation without having to run back to older posts to try and see what the discussion involves. I can understand why this isn't mandatory, due to the way it could create too many nested quotes and cause too much space usage. But there is definitely a demand for it from our users, and has thus far been our main negative feedback from our community, as they feel they aren't able to follow discussions properly anymore in cases where points are being discussed from previous posts.
