Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Black Tiger Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 That depends on how the server is setup. Is it using php-fastcgi/phpsuexec of php-fpm or mod_ruid2 for example. Mostly used is chmod 644 for files and 755 for directory's, except for what's in the /uploads directory. In the /uploads directory it's 777 for directory's (except logs) and 666 for files (even when not needed). However... use at your *own risk*. Normally you don't have to bother with this. Just upload the files with FTP, then start the installation (if you did not have an installation) and the rights will be set automatically during installation.
