Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SecondSight Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Hello ! 🙂 I've just noticed that status updates were disabled on my board... So I re-enabled the option in the ACP (Member settings/profiles). But I still can't see where I can update my status... Can you tell me where I can do this ? Thank you. 🙂 Â
SecondSight Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 I think I've understood. First, there is a side block (system/status updates) which can be placed on the index page. Then, in your profile, you have a box with a message saying "Write a public message on your own feed...". And members can give reputation to posts, statuses... Is this how it works ? Thank you. 🙂
ahc Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Yes, that's correct.  🙂 It functions similarly to your wall on Facebook without the global feed aspect. (In default IPS you're limited to creating a personal activity feed for status updates and the sidebar block for viewing a collective of status updates other than your own.)
