Editing Time span - all or nothing - Gallery

I have a problem where I set per group what the time is that they can edit a topic eg. 240 minutes.

But when you set a time frame this also means that pictures in the gallery are not possible to edit after this time.

Is there a way to overwrite this ??? So users can edit/manage their own album after 240 minutes ?

I'm afraid not - all content is (generally) treated the same, so if you set a cutoff timeframe for editing content, that will apply to images as well as topics.
