Annoying "Quote selection"

Is there a way to disable this annoying popup when selecting text?

Ah, too bad you feel this way.  I love the quote selection popup and use it all the time ... But I get that you would like it to be an option. ?

Why do you want to disable it?  

It's a useful feature and it doesn't seem to get in the way.   At least not for me, anyways.

To me it's annoying but if there is no option to disable it I'll have to leave with it.

Try adding this to your theme's custom.css:

.ipsTooltip.ipsComment_inlineQuoteTooltip {
     display: none !important;
