Gave this some thought overnight.  I can pull those and make them available (within reason) and then have a blank template be toggled on/off for you to use to do what you want with those vars availabl

Version 5 Released!

  • Adds ability to apply click-to-open functionality to user names.

Can you make this per usergroup?

My goal for this is to make SOME members stand out. This is similar to a business card - it's a way to promote themselves. I could then turn this into a "premium" perk. While the default is turned into a more generic hovercard.

Yep. Thanks for a fine reason to not do something else right now. I'll bang this out in 3... 2... 1... 🙂

Just a note to say this is fine for 4.4.

@All Astronauts I have come across a minor bug involving text wrapping.

wrapping-bug.thumb.jpg.58a384489af48a3a75cb327cd5420142.jpg

As you can see someone wrote in some binary which currently overflows off of their profile page and overflows off of the hovercard. Is this fixable without changing the quote, at all?

Link me in a pm that profile,  will tackle this tomorrow.

Version 7.1 Released!

  • Just adds in word break css to prevent stupid long yearbook quote "words" from spilling out of their containers.

Sorry for not getting back to you. It is my birthday today and the missus took me out.

Thank you for the fix, it's deeply appreciated. I know how ridiculous this was.

Hi @All Astronauts! Love this plugin. Would it be possible to add a Follow button somewhere along with the links on the bottom? Cheers!

Makes sense.

Awesome Member Hovercards 8 released!

  • By request adds in the follow member feature. This replaces the ignore member link in the bottom of the hovercard and moves that ignore member link to the more menu. As now structured this places all "positive" member actions on the bottom of the hover card leaving all the "negative" ones in the more menu (flag spam, report user, ignore user) - user permissions permitting of course.

This was more annoying than it should have been but I got there. As you interact with the follow feature that will involve another popup so you'll likely cursor off the hovercard during this - no worries, everything works fine and since this is all controlled via an IPS jquery bit the hovercard link will be instantly updated with following / not-following status.

Awesome, thank you so much! Sorry it was annoying.

Hey, looks like regular members arent seeing the Ignore User function.

Blah, I know why. Hang on.

EDIT: Are you sure the viewing member is allowed to ignore the hovercard member? Permissions to show more menu look legit on first glance.

Nvrmind, must have been an invisible typo

Question before buying:

Can you make it show on the avatar within the topics in the forum?

for a example

Middle picture caption: 🥴

By default that should already be happening, with or without AMH. The postcontainer template calls the core-global-userphoto template there. The last var in userphoto is $hovercard and it is set to true - which means only when someone calls the userphoto template and specifically sets that variable to FALSE will the hovercards not show.

In the postcontainer template that variable is not set, which means its true. Tested with and without AMH enabled - hovercards always show.

So, either your question was just an abstract one - in which case the answer is AMH works wherever hovercards are already. Or... you've got some custom theme/plugin stuff going on and are doing something else there with the avatars. In that case, I can take a quick (QUICK!) look but otherwise that falls under the category of poke your theme/plugin designer or pay me :)

Cursory run through shows this is all good with 4.5. Some minor spacing changes due to IPS CSS changes, but nothing to really worry about. I can (will) clean that up post-4.5 official release sometime.

Pre-4.5 vs 4.5

4.5 version submitted Friday, September 18, about 4:45pm Central time. In the ACP Marketplace when it's there.

Nothing major, a few tweaks, etc.

EDIT: Early AM Monday, September 22 it is now available.

Hello,

I just bought it and something isn't working fine. The More options... button is broken. If you click on it, the little windows is invisible (if you look closely you'll see a fine horizontal line).

Also, about the content counter. It says 9546 sujets. Sujets is a french word for topics. It should be posts.

Thank you for helping me.

Annnd, if the user is online it doesn't show what he is doing. The default usercard does.

AMH has never done this, I can add it in if wanted though.

You've exposed an IPS language bug. When I dev'd this I just grabbed something in a nearby template that was the word "posts". "ignore_topics" is strangely enough "posts" in the default IPS English language pack. No idea why. I'll change this to something more reasonable.

Can you re-enable this on your site so I can take a look. I think you've got something conflicting somewhere. This is fine locally and on my own live sites.
