Promote feature and image use

I'm dabbling in the use of the social media promotion tools and have been attempting to share a topic to twitter. The opening post contains an image. When promoting the post I'm choosing to add the image, but Twitter doesn't use this... It uses the share image instead. (the one defined in the theme)

Is this the intended behaviour or am I doing something wrong?

I solved this. You have to choose the image to add. I don't think it's very clear though, it's not obvious a selection has to be made.
