Question about email notification behavior

Hello!

I have a question regarding the following option available at /notifications/options/:

Only send one email notification for content I follow until I revisit the community

What is the expected behavior when this option is enabled?

If I am following 100 topics in our community, with this option enabled:

(a) I should get only one email, for the first of the 100 topics I am following that had a new comment.

OR

(b) I should get only one email per topic. So if 30 of these topics had new posts, I will get 30 emails. And if any of these had multiple posts, I will get only one email for that topic.
