SJ77 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 It would be fantastic if we could run downloads app on a subdomain as part of the same installation. To be clear I am not talking about running it twice. Only once but outside of root and still connected with the same DB and same instance of IPS running. Allowing us to move downloads app outside of core and placing it at "files.mydomain.com" for example will be hugely beneficial for those of us trying to avoid cloudflares 100MB limitation. This would allow for us to run cloudflare on our main domain without the 100MB limit hitting our downloads app. Just thought I would put the request out there. Thank you

I could see the same apply to Gallery as well - especially if one has a lot of videos. The only downside I could see - perhaps not much of a downside - is that Google deprecates the use of subdomains in SEO as far as I know. But this may not matter.
