SEO - Meta tags

As i'm trying to get even more visitors and improve the search ranking of my forums. 

I wonder if someone here that has more experience in SEO - Meta tags to increase traffic would share their experience.

While I wouldn't "ignore" meta tags, you'll probably get the most bang for your buck by posting links to your site on other relevant sites on the internet. Share links to your site on Facebook and Twitter, post on other discussion forums or blogs that relate to the same subject, etc.
