Block Offset - Is it Possible?

I'm creating a custom homepage and I'm wondering if there is a way to do an offset in the blocks?

I created a featured area on my homepage with three articles. These are properly offsetting.

The three blocks below to offset as well, but I don't see an option to offset them in the configuration.

So for block 1, it would need to be offset by 3, block 2 offset by 4, block 3 offset by 5 so that it will show the proper articles.

I've scoured the forums for a solution but can't find anything that is working.

This seemed close to what I needed to do, but this doesn't work or I'm just not implementing it properly.
