Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Josiah Wallingford Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I really like how you can vote up and down questions using the questions layout of forums. I am looking for something similar to that but instead of questions, it would be one for Ideas and Requests. Where a member can post an idea/request and other members can comment on it and vote up and down that idea. How do I get that accomplished? Right now I am just using the questions forum but the wording is very confusing to users because these are not questions they are asking, they are recommendations.
Meddysong Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 If you're only using the Q&A function for this one thing, then you could edit the relevant language strings in the APC. Instead of "there are no questions to show" etc, you'd edit to say "there are no ideas or requests to show" and so on.

Meddysong Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Bah. That complicates things then. Back to the drawing board ... I suspect you'll need to request some customisation from a developer for this. It doesn't strike me as the sort of thing which could be done without a plugin, wherein they mimic the Q&A.
