Vanucci Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Hello I have these specs PHP 7.1 MariaDB 10 Centos7 I have tried to install APCu via WHM/Cpanel and it says it has installed correctly, however, on the Data Storage page, the option to use APC isnt available. Has anyone with a simialr setup managed to get this to work ? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
ASTRAPI Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 It will be much better if you don't use it at all For better performance use Zend opcache (included on php) and Memcached....
Vanucci Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 I do have memcached installed, never used it, when i go for that selection its asking me to provide a server
ASTRAPI Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Just use the default recommendation there... 127.0.0.1:11211 Then backup your config file and then upload the new one generated by IPB panel and replace the old one.... It should work..... But zend opcache is more important There are many specific tutorials online for cpanel.....
Vanucci Posted August 3, 2017 Author Posted August 3, 2017 Thanks, just gone to go ahead with that and now APC has shown up available, i will however follow your recommendation and go with memcached
