Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Day_ Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 I'm trying to stop certain twitter accounts being able to be posted on my site. I've tried adding into link filtering https://twitter.com/Xuser/*http://twitter.com/Xuser/*http://mobile.twitter.com/Xuser/*https://mobile.twitter.com/Xuser/* Yet they are still embedded and posted with no issue. I've also tried adding Xuser to the word filter but still no use. Is there anyway around it?
Apfelstrudel Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Try to use following disallowed link filter: http://*twitter.com/Xuser/* https://*twitter.com/Xuser/*
Day_ Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 Thanks but think I've figured it out, link filtering only converts to plain text stripping out the link so won't effect embeds. If I add the twitter account username to word filter and replace with *, nothing changes. But if I hold the post for moderation it goes to the mod queue. It's a work around I guess, not sure why but I thought the link filtering actually blocked the link from being posted totally, not true.
