Blogs - can members add entries only?

Hi,

Is it possible to limit the permissions so that a member can only contribute to group blogs?

From my testing it seems that you need to enable the ability to create new Blogs in order for a member to make any Blog Entry.

Thanks for any guidance.  I am new to setting up a Blog and want it to be organized from the start.

I don't *think* you need to allow permission to create new blogs. You can create a blog yourself in the ACP, make it a group blog, and then assign which groups are allowed to post to it.

Apologies if you've already tested that approach but I think that's how I had it set up on my site a few months back when I was testing.
