How To Change Uploads Folder Location?

So I already have a pretty large forum going, and my uploads folders has ballooned to over 18 Gigabytes! This is creating problems on the server with daily backups.

Can I move the uploads folder elsewhere on my server, outside the /forum/ directory?

If so, how? And can I do this without breaking all the existing images and uploads that my users have made?

You can configure new file settings to save to Amazon S3.

why don.t you just create new folders and up load it to your puplic host and than go to Storage Settings files config and config  ipb4 and than go back to  Storage Settings and just change the urls
