Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SugaNat Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I've noticed that each of my IP.Content news posts have a separate id at the very end of the url. Is there a way to turn it off like /index.php/ ? Currently it looks like: http://mysiteurl.com/home/news/news-title-r5266/ Is there a way to switch it to http://mysiteurl.com/home/news/news-title
opentype Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 It’t the default for every record—an automatic FURL generated from the title field + the record ID. But you can override that per record while creating the record and also in the ACP.
SugaNat Posted October 4, 2016 Author Posted October 4, 2016 And how would the real URL look like? Because I'm guessing not like http://rihannadaily.com/index.php?app=home&module=news&id=123 I can't find any example.

If its http://mysiteurl.com/home/news/news-title-r5266/ by default, you can set the custom furl as “news-title” and the record URL becomes: http://mysiteurl.com/home/news/news-title

opentype Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 It’s an option when an admin edits the record: :
