it is already like this, only not the two column style

Ah okay, Yeah it would be really cool if it was like that in the two column. We love the look however we find ourselves clicking the image more often.

send me a message with a login info i will fix it and create the styles^^ 

I don't wish to change database's template, yet I would like to use the block.

Would you be willing to create a separate template for those like me? i.e people who only want to have the block.

 

No not really hard, just search for "pinned" and "featured" in templates here  

Pages > Templates > Database Templates > Image Featured One Column S1 and Image Featured Two Column S1 

Pages > Templates > Block Plugin Templates > Image Featured One Column S1 and Image Featured Two Column S1 and Image Featured News Feed S1

 

in version 2.0 I will use language strings so the pinned and featured automatically translates to your website language

The styles aren't only main database templates, there are blocks too created to have the same styles so if you want to use it as a block or on your main database page it is totally up to you  for example here http://c78954.try.invisionpower.com/sidebarswidgets/ they are used as blocks

I have updated the templates a little bit, i do not wish to update on marketplace yet.

but if you wish send me a login info i will update it for you manualy, the update also translates the pinned/featured to your website language  

unless, if you want to translate the words to something else, in this case the templates are here

I havent started to customize blogs yet ; X 

I want to let you know that i have made huge changes in the styles and they will be updated in the marketplace soon 

they are all using full images without cutting off plus all the issues and suggestions been added here plus 2 more styles in the list, 2 column first featured and 3 column first featured and they are all have a much better looking : )

All stars are put to 5 and you can't change, not able to rate...

In my db I use categories. It would be appreciated if you give istructions how to display the category in the record template:

make sure you allow users and your databas to rate records its in the permssions
