Prune validating members has never worked

Hi all,

I have two forums of a decent size with many members and many validating members

So I set up the setting in ACP to prune validating members who haven't responded to the email validation thing after 7 days

This has never worked

I've changed it to 1 day, to 3 weeks and still nothing

Any idea how I can get this working and how I can run a task or something to prune these members off my validating list?
