GrooveOnBeat Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I'd like to see a way for selected member groups to be able to edit blocks on the spot, instead of having to go into the ACP or access to Manage Blocks. While the current system is good, having the ability to assign who can edit which blocks is even better in my opinion. I'm visualizing an edit button somewhere on the block where staff can click on it and have the editor (or text area if it's PHP/HTML).
GrooveOnBeat Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 I've seen and have third-party apps that can allows editing on the spot. For each block there's a gear icon that when clicked the member with the right permissions can edit the block on the page.
TSP Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 As far as editing raw PHP for blocks from the front end go, I feel that would just put security at risk and not something IPS would like to facilitate easy access to do, outside of the ACP. The same can be said about HTML to a certain extent, but the point is a bit more moot since they allow you to edit HTML (for special groups) from the front end.
